The Dream

Before the age of ten, my inquisitive mind wanted to explore the world around me. Open as an interesting book that one cannot put down, My journey begun. at a young age, I was influenced by sounds, words, and actions of others. so every chance i got to see my grandmother, I did. my Grandmother had an old fashion sewing machine (similar to the one in the photo on the left) that was very intriguing. I loved hearing the the sound  that the machine made, and seeing the needle go up and down when she would sew. One thing that stood out to most was that in order to use this sewing machine, you had to use the paddle at the bottom of the machine to make it work. Around the age of ten, my school offered home economics classes that taught students to sew and cook. I immediately jumped on this great opportunity. in my spare time I used newspaper to create my own patterns to design my own clothes for school. Once  I turned seventeen, I got married and started altering and tailoring my husband's suits for church, and also clothing for members of my community. At that moment, I realizedi had a God giving Talent. My heart led me to do what I loved the most and that is sewing. So one day I pursued my dream and started my own sewing and alterations business. This ia a dream come true.
